We were in Richmond for an event and were searching for a breakfast spot. We found this spot and did not regret stopping by! Though the food may not appeal to the eyes, it was really homey and tasteful! Other places may offer beautiful appealing meals, but the taste is bland. Kat's is NOT like that! The breakfast here was delicious!!! I ordered the 701 combo. My siblings got two southside combos and a breakfast sandwich. We also got a omelet (not pictured). I was very pleased with the apples. They were delicious! And not like the ones you would typically get in a country restaurant like CB. Everything was amazing! The staff was friendly, cheerful, and helpful! We really enjoyed our stay. Wish I lived closer. Would definitely be a regular customer!

One of RVAs best breakfast spots. It was our first visit, but it immediately became our favorite. My husband had good grits and gravy, and I had the 701 combo - both were 1000/10. I highly recommend it this place and can't wait to return

A hidden gem. The food was delicious and it came out fast. The people are so nice and the atmosphere is great as well. Extremely affordable $. Would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone !! The best breakfast food I have ever had

I can not say enough how FANTASTIC the food is here! Always fresh and fast service, never have to wait for seating and the atmosphere is calm and inviting no matter the time. If you have the time to stop by, trust me you won't bw disappointed!

Food was better than expected. Stumbled upon it while walking around the city for breakfast. Staff was friendly, food was fast and delicious, and great potions! I ordered the avocado toast with a side of home fries. Lemonade was perfect and I had a cinnamon roll and a chocolate chip cookie to go.

I was looking for a good breakfast spot in the city to work from for a little bit and found Kat’s. It’s located inside of a building with their sign out front and directions on the side of the building so even though it’s hidden, you can still find it inside. I ordered the 701 Combo (French toast, bacon, fried apples) and I can’t express enough how delicious the food was!! The prices were decent and the diner is super cozy! It was the perfect place to work from and I’m glad I came!

A sign on the sidewalk tells you where to turn into an unassuming office building. The friendly staff quickly recognize tourists seeking a breakfast to remember. Behind glass panels off the lobby are smiling chefs waiting to help you indulge in an amazing way to start your day. I had the corn beef hash special, laden as it is with fresh grilled peppers and onions, fried biscuit with perfectly cooked sausage, and fried eggs that default to over-hard. My friend had the breakfast torpedo and it was laden with sauce to the point he never needed to dip it in the provided salsa. This breakfast made me almost regret that I don't live in Richmond. If you are anywhere within five blocks, do NO deprive yourself.
